Disney Trip – Last-Minute Reminders

Hi Disney Travelers!

A few reminders and comments for all students and parents going on the Disney World Trip.

As of right now, you should have handed in the Emergency Medical Form and Instrument Inventory Sheet (they were due 3/14). If they are not in yet, we NEED them now. Please give us a hard copy of them, not an e-mail picture.

A few people handed in the bag check form and medication form. Please read these forms carefully, we need those the morning of the trip, they are not being collected early. Especially the bag check form, you need to check your child’s bag and then sign the form assuring us there is no contraband in the bag.

If your child has prescription medication, the medication form needs to be handed in with the medications on the morning of the trip. We also made a small mistake on the form, there is no place for a student name, please add your child’s name to the top of the medication form.

Remember that many meals on the trip are not included in the price of the trip. We recommend around $200.00 that can be spent on food for the trip. Disney gift cards are a great option, however, don’t forget, there are 4-5 meals while on the bus heading to and from Orlando, where those cards won’t work. Also one dinner in Universal that will not take Disney Cards.

Remember the first day of travel is very long until we can get to our checked bags. No students will be allowed to go into their bags until check-in at the hotel. Plan ahead and bring what you need in your carry-on (enough clothes for Friday night sleeping and all day Saturday in the park).

We would like to encourage students to wear orange and black / NOHS gear while in the parks. It is easier for us to spot our students in the park and we want to represent our school and community. Pack your spirit wear!

Chaperons need to report to the High School at 4:30am, Students need to report by 5:00am. The bus will leave promptly at 6:00am. Do not be late, we need to load all bags and instruments under the bus, collect the forms, distribute medication to chaperones, etc.. We need everyone there by 5:00am.

Last but not least, review the trip packet so you know all the rules and regulations, this is going to be an awesome trip and if we plan on making good choices, the trip will be fun and educational for every student.
